Terms of Service — On Call Housekeeping and Care
Effective [date]
1. Service
On Call connects your family with a nanny, senior caregiver or home helper (the “caregiver”) selected by our team, for a set time, by the hour. On Call is a brand of [legal name] (Regency Nannies), holder of a CNESST personnel placement agency licence [no.].
2. Request
A request is not a confirmed booking; confirmation comes with the caregiver’s profile by email. If no caregiver is available, you’re told and not charged. You must be 18 or older.
3. Prices
Hourly rates, minimums and extras shown on the Pricing page at the time of request; billed on actual hours, by the quarter hour after the minimum; applicable taxes extra depending on the service; the 50%-off first hour applies once per family, on the first booking.
4. Payment
(a) Pay when booking, adjusted afterward; or (b) card on file, charged after the booking. By saving your card you authorize charges for completed bookings and the cancellation fees in section 5. Receipt after every booking. Unpaid amounts may suspend new bookings.
5. Your cancellation
More than 24 hrs ahead: free · 24 to 3 hrs: 1.5 hours · under 3 hrs or no-show: the booking minimum.
6. Our cancellation or delay
We look for a replacement; if none, no charge and 10% off your next booking. Late arrival isn’t billed; over 30 minutes, you may cancel free.
7. Satisfaction guarantee
Not happy with your first booking with a caregiver? Tell us within 24 hours: first hour refunded or a free booking of the same length with another caregiver, your choice. Not applicable to cancellations or situations caused by the family.
8. Your commitments
Accurate information (ages, allergies, special needs, pets, known risks) · a safe environment · written permission for medication and driving, compliant car seats · respect · no tasks outside the booked service or medical care · let the caregiver know if you’ll be late (extra time billed).
9. Limits
No medical or nursing care; no more than 12 hours in a row; caregivers may decline dangerous situations or highly contagious illness (no charge if you told us in advance).
10. Direct hiring
Within [12] months of the last booking, hiring a caregiver met through On Call requires notice and a placement fee of [amount].
11. Liability and insurance
We’re responsible for the service and carry liability insurance; not liable for damage caused by the family, third parties or force majeure.
